Social Marketers Believe Facebook is #1 for ROI
Jon Cogan
It is almost unanimous. According to a recent survey conducted by Social Fresh, nearly 96% of all social media marketers surveyed felt that Facebook produced the best ROI of all the social media platforms. Twitter came a distant second at close to 64%, and Instagram was third at just over 40% (respondents chose up to 3 social media platforms). Interesting to note that with all the hype around SnapChat, only 2% of those surveyed believed it to be among the best ROI producers.
What does this all mean? Well it means that even more marketing dollars will be poured into Facebook, and rightly so. Facebook is expected to reach 1.43 billion monthly users by the end of the year. And then there is Shopify’s well known data research revealed in 2014:
Facebook dominates as a source of social traffic and sales. Nearly two thirds of all social media visits to Shopify stores come from Facebook. Plus, an average of 85% of all orders from social media come from Facebook.
When you account for how well Facebook-owned Instagram did in this survey, it is clear the Facebook is not just the king when it comes to social media advertising, it is ruler of the universe!
